What we do

The whole benefits lifecycle, run by one team.

Combined Benefits Administrators manages the full lifecycle of an employer's benefits program: placing the plan, running the day-to-day administration, handling compliance, and supporting employees year-round. Most brokers do the first step and step back. We do all four.

Benefits run every day of the plan year, and someone has to keep them running.

With most brokers, the relationship goes quiet once the plan is placed. The day-to-day administration falls to your HR team, required compliance can go unmanaged, and employees have no one but HR to turn to with their benefits questions.

CBA is the team that owns all of it. We run the four areas below as one job, so nothing falls through the gaps between them.

One program, not four vendors

Place it, run it, keep it compliant, support the people

These are not four separate services you stitch together from four vendors. They are one continuous job, and CBA runs the whole line.

One accountable relationship across the whole benefits program.

Most employers stitch together a broker, an administrator, a compliance vendor, and an enrollment firm. We are all of those, working as one team, so there is no hand-off and no finger-pointing when something needs to get done.

Common questions

How the work fits together

What is the difference between a benefits broker and a benefits administrator?
A broker places your insurance with carriers. An administrator runs the ongoing work: enrollment, payroll deductions, carrier changes, and compliance. CBA is both. We run the administration in-house and coordinate your compliance, where most brokers only place the plan and step back.
Does my broker handle the admin work, or just place the plan?
Most brokers place the plan and leave the administration to your HR team. CBA runs the administration itself, so the day-to-day work of keeping benefits accurate does not land on you.
Do I need separate vendors for benefits, compliance, and enrollment?
No. CBA manages all four areas under one accountable relationship: plan and renewal strategy, administration and technology, compliance, and employee support. One team across the whole year.

We will review where you stand, what is working, and what may need attention. A review costs nothing.
