LIST OF VOLUNTARY WORKSITE PRODUCTS
The following is a list of voluntary products CBA, Inc. offers in our portfolio. Even though this is a comprehensive list, it is not necessarily a complete list. If an employer has identified a need for a particular type of voluntary insurance product, CBA will use the appropriate contacts to satisfy these needs. CBA works with several A+ rated national companies who offer an array of voluntary products. Most of these products are designed so that an insured can continue the coverage beyond employment with an employer.
- Limited Medical Insurance: or “Mini-Meds”, have become a prevalent benefit offering for many companies with part-time and hourly employees. Often these employees are not offered group major medical coverage. Even if offered, many simply cannot afford it. Plan benefits include but are not limited to inpatient hospital benefits, office visits, wellness benefits, prescription drugs, etc.
- Group Supplemental (“Gap”) Insurance: offer benefits for costs related to deductibles, co-insurance and co-payments, providing the employee with monies to assist with their out-of-pocket expenses. These plans are offered along side major medical plans.
- Universal Life Insurance: This is a product that offers an employee and/or dependents the opportunity to purchase permanent life insurance. It is generally guarantee issue, (no medical questions or exams) up to a fixed dollar amount for the employee and conditionally issued, (few basic medical questions) for dependents.
- Lifetime Term Life Insurance: This is a unique term life product that offers the protection and permanence of a whole/universal life product at much more affordable term life rates. CBA is the exclusive agent allowed to offer this product to our customers.
- Term Life Insurance: This product offers an employee and/or dependents the opportunity to purchase a significant amount of life insurance at very affordable premiums. There are several versions of this product that can meet different needs.
- Disability (Short Term and Long Term): The loss of one’s income due to an accident or illness can in many ways be devastating. This product gives an employee a chance to protect a significant portion of income when a disabling event occurs.
- Cancer Coverage: While employer sponsored health plans cover a significant portion of the costs associated with the treatment of cancer, there are other out of pocket expenses that must be met by the patient, i.e. deductibles, co-insurance, co-payments, non-medical costs, loss of income, experimental treatments, etc. The Cancer plan helps the employee bridge these financial gaps.
- Critical Illness: The Critical Illness policy is designed to help cover the many out of pocket expenses associated with the treatment of a heart attack, stroke, major organ transplant, permanent paralysis end stage renal failure and coronary bypass. This product will pay one lump sum to the employee/patient if diagnosed and treated for any on these medical conditions.
- Accident Coverage: An Accident only policy provides insureds with several benefits to assist with costs associated with certain accidents by providing the insured with money to pay for the out of pocket expenses. It pays benefits for dislocations, fractures, burns, ruptured discs and torn knee cartilage, eye injuries, lacerations, internal injuries, fractures, blood and plasma.
- Voluntary Dental and Vision: Dental care and eye care are important to our overall health and are two of the most neglected types of care. These policies provide affordable coverage to assist the insured in receiving this care by removing some of the financial concerns associated with not receiving this care.
